FAQ

For Sellers

How long does the entire process take?

It's variable. Expect most sales to take between 2 to 3 weeks from the initial staging day to final settlement and pickup.

Do strangers have to walk through my home?

No. Unlike traditional auctions where hundreds of people browse through private rooms, our online auction model keeps all buyer traffic confined to a scheduled, supervised driveway utilizing cart transportation.

How do I get started?

Call us directly, text or fill out our brief contact form with a few photos to schedule your initial consultation.

What fees do auctioneers charge?

Fees are calculated on a commission based percentage and are applicable to change based on the circumstances.

Where does Thanasack Auctions provide services?

Located in Dublin, Ohio, Thanasack Auctions serves Franklin, Delaware, Union and other neighboring counties.

Where does the physical inventory go during the auction?

Depending on the size and nature of the transition, items are securely staged either directly on-site or transferred to our central facility. Our team handles the sorting, lot tagging, and secured storage until settlement and customer pickup are completed.

How does curbside drive-through fulfillment protect my property?

Traditional auctions often bring hundreds of unscreened individuals walking through a private home. Our model eliminates foot traffic entirely. Invoices are pre-processed, and our staff directly verifies, transports, and loads items into winning bidders' vehicles during monitored, scheduled appointment windows.

How quickly are proceeds settled after the sale concludes?

Following the final scheduled buyer pickup and fund clearance, consignors receive a complete itemized reconciliation statement alongside net proceeds issued directly from our client trust escrow account.

For Bidders

How do I participate and place bids?

All bidding takes place online through our digital auction platform, HiBid. You can register an account, set secure absentee proxy bids in advance, or participate live as lots close.

Are items authenticated or accompanied by formal appraisals?

No. We focus strictly on objective, high-resolution visual cataloging rather than formal authentication or subjective valuations. Every item is photographed under neutral studio lighting with detailed captures of hallmarks, stamps, measurements, and surface condition so you can inspect every nuance and bid according to your own assessment and expertise. All lots are sold strictly as-is.

How and when do I pay for won items?

Once the auction closes, winning bidders receive an itemized electronic invoice via email. Payment is completed directly on-site during your scheduled pickup window. We accept cash, major debit and credit cards. NO CHECKS.

How does the pickup process work?

We operate a dedicated drive-through curbside pickup model. After the auction concludes, reserve an arrival window during our scheduled fulfillment days and times. When you arrive, our team confirms your invoice, processes payment, and retrieves and loads your secured items directly into your vehicle—no waiting in crowded lines or packing required. Bidders who have one large furniture will be accompanied by our team. That is the only instance in which individuals will be allowed inside the home.

Do you offer packing and shipping?

Our standard fulfillment is curbside drive-through pickup on-sites. Please read the terms and conditions as shipping is variable per auction. If applicable, Third-party shipping or carrier pickup may be coordinated for select hand-transportable lots; please contact us prior to the auction close to confirm transport arrangements for specific items.

What happens if I miss my scheduled pickup window?

Because estate fulfillment runs on tight operational timelines, purchases must be settled and retrieved during the designated dates and times announced for that auction. Items not collected within the specified window may be subject to handling fees or forfeiture per our auction terms. Please read the terms and conditions for late removal and or forfeiture of items and charges associated with it.
